Composer, pianist, arranger

Vyacheslav Serzhanov - composer, pianist, arranger, the head of a jazz quartet, the winner of the All-Russia jazz competitions.
Born on September 23rd, 1962 in Vitebsk. From early age practicise music and at 13 became the winner of republican competition of young performers in Minsk. Graduated from Moscow Institute for Physics & Techniques and from the Gnesins Musical College.
In 90th Vyacheslav gathered his first professional quartet performing improvisational music a la russe, and the CD under the name of "Russian suite" consisting of 5 compositions has been released.
At the same time he cooperated with renowned Russian jazz saxophonists, played in Jazz Big Band in Italy, performed at the International Jazz Festival in Moscow and in the Carnegie Hall, as well as in the other big concert halls in the US. For years he has been performing with his own compositions and a mainstream jazz, at the same time being engaged in making arrangements for various orchestras and bands.
As a composer Serzhanov works in the field of jazz, symphonic and chamber music, composing for the orchestras, bands and piano solo. He composes music for the documentaries, animated movies and multi-media productions.
As an arranger Vyacheslav specializes in string and symphonic arrangements, on arrangements for Big &small Jazz bands.
He used to work with Alexei Kozlov, Alexander Pischik, Arcady Shilkloper, and Tamara Gverdtseteli. His arrangements made on orders from Tchaikovsky Big Symphony Orchestra and the renowned composers of our days - Yevgeny Krylatov, Gennady Gladkov, Yevgeny Doga, David Tukhmanov and Igor Krutoi. In 2009 he made an orchestral arrangement of the "St Matthew Passion" composed by Bishop Ilarion, and he
became a producer of the record of this composition. Recently he made an arrangement for the Lara Fabian's new album.
